Sclerotherapy

What is Sclerotherapy?

Varicose and Spider Vein Removal

Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to treat varicose veins and spider veins. It is a minimally invasive technique that involves injecting a solution directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and eventually fade away. The collapsed vein is then gradually reabsorbed by the body, and blood flow is redirected to healthier veins.

During the procedure, a member of our team will clean and sterilize the treatment area before injecting the solution into the targeted veins using a very fine needle. Multiple injections may be required depending on the number and size of the veins being treated. The procedure is generally well-tolerated and does not require anesthesia.

After sclerotherapy, we recommend that our clients wear compression stockings or bandages to apply pressure on the treated veins and promote healing. Walking and regular physical activity are encouraged to aid in circulation and prevent blood clots. Multiple sessions of sclerotherapy may be necessary to achieve desired results, and the treated veins may gradually fade over a period of several weeks to months
